Why I'm Leaving the Left for Liberty and Changing for Good
What is this witch hunt in the Western World? How many of us witches are out there?
Bret Weinstein perceives the population is made of four groups: the few who actually hunt witches, a large group that goes along with it, a larger group that stays silent, and also a tiny group that bravely opposes the hunt. And that “final group — as if by magic — become witches.”
I have become such a witch. I cannot stay silent as an establishment orthodoxy, rife with ultimatums, stands in the way of our humanity. I cannot stay silent while some very loud voices are calling for the shaming, shunning, and marginalization of their fellow people.
When I am told that I need to be less of what I am, that I listen to the wrong comedians and share the wrong news, I will not cower. When it is implied my existence on this planet is, by default, evil, that there is only one path to salvation (coerced revelation of my Covid-19 vaccination status coupled with mandatory book groups on what is called “anti-racism”), and if I dare question it, I’m treated as a sinner — still.
Now, it is considered hate to do what is right in my heart for the country I love, for the girls and boys who need us to keep this place free and restore what made it good as we find ways to make it better. And every day, much of corporate media insists that, because of my questioning and my concerns, I am somehow lesser than for just wanting to be treated like a human being instead of an infidel.
The modern-day witch hunt has pushed otherwise quiet people such as myself to speak their conscience. The good news for the witches is: It’s becoming easier for us to find each other. All the while, I’m wondering: Why is moral courage such a scarce resource here in the so-called home of the brave?
A voice for the voiceless
Standing up to the current threats to our civil liberties takes great inner strength and sovereignty. It also takes a certain amount of outward unity for the protest to be effective. Some Americans assert that unity is neither possible nor desirable: 52% of Trump supporters and 41% of Biden voters think it’s time for red and blue states to secede and manifest a national divorce.
But if you’re seeking a point of authentic unity, look to the streets of New York: Black Lives Matter, NYPD police officers, firefighters, and thousands of other workers are protesting the city’s vaccine mandates — setting their differences aside to advocate for one another’s bodily, mental, and spiritual autonomy.
So if you’ve been posting death wishes toward people who are hesitant about the shot, imagine what it would be like for you to read those statuses to this woman — looking her square in the eye. Imagine. Then imagine a better world of uniting through our common humanity. Imagine a world where we each have access to the healthcare we need. Imagine harnessing our sovereign powers, as individuals, together, for good.
But as long as there is an agenda, as long as one person or group believes they know best and they aren’t willing to humanize someone who is choosing differently than they do, there will be no collective union. Envision a better world all you want. Still, without action and without using your voice to speak up for basic human rights and make an effort to reach across the stark divides in our society, we’re not going to get very far on the road of divine justice.
Observing dissidents such as evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, I’m growing curious: What motivates a person to muster up courage in a time when it’s quite controversial to step out as an individual? And how many of us are there?
In my new series, “Leaving the Left for Liberty,” I’ll be talking with whistleblowers, dissidents, and other alternative voices who have left the culture of the political left for more creative freedom, professional freedom, and personal freedom. Not necessarily leaving the left for the right, these independent, libertarian, classically liberal, and newly conservative voices are cutting ties with dogma and in search of something new.
No issue is off the table. We’ll explore critical race theory, woke comedy, censorship, mandates, the tango of individualism and collectivism, the desire for honest art, spirituality, and more.
These people have risked so much. What makes them heroes, in my eyes, is the way they are rising above the modern-day witch hunt, organically following the steps of the hero’s journey: leaving a familiar world behind, learning to navigate an unfamiliar world, and coming home to the self — transformed. And I’m leaving the left for liberty with them to change for good.

Wow! Thank you for the quick response. Just watched your promo and like to add that our times goes beyond the male ‘ hero’s journey’ because it is young women like you that will have to take leadership to turn the Titanic around. The strong feminine - excluded and colonised for 5000+ years - will need to claim her rightful place to guide us out of this man-made disaster. No ‘hero’ male or female will safe humanity, don’t you think so? 🌿❤️mO
Hi Sienna, just listened to your interview with Charles Eisenstein. You asked so brilliant questions that I heard for the first time HOW a ‘more beautiful world our hearts know is possible’ can be created. Thank you! I hope I find a way to your podcasts on my iPhone. mO
